David Sorensen, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor, with 30+ years of experience providing pastoral care, counseling, and psychotherapy first as a chaplain and then as a licensed psychotherapist. Service in the Army National Guard and Reserves, a medium security correctional facility, and a long term care facility gives him a wide range of experience and understanding of the stress and strain that unexpected changes and challenges can bring to individuals and families. Areas of interest include the treatment of trauma in individuals and couples, career development, and spirituality as a resource for health and healing. He is a graduate of Mount Mary University (M.S.) and Concordia Theological Seminary (M.Div.).

Now in his ‘encore career,’ David’s practice includes gratitude for each day as a gift, a gift that he shares with his wife of 40+ years
